Located in the Liwiec River basin, around 70 km east of Warsaw, Turvita is a small family business built on respect for nature, rural life, human health and the planet.

As part of the OrganicClimateNET network, Turvita and Turna Farm represent an inspiring example of how organic dairy production can combine animal welfare, renewable energy, local processing and climate-conscious farming practices.

Organic production rooted in a protected landscape

Turvita operates within a Natura 2000 area, a European network of protected sites that supports the conservation of valuable habitats and species.

This location shapes the farm’s approach to production and reinforces its commitment to certified organic food. Turvita’s vision is to help create an ecologically conscious society, while its mission is to establish the habit of consuming organic dairy products in every Polish home.

The farm covers around 400 hectares and breeds 500 cattle, including approximately 250 dairy cows milked daily. Together, they provide around 5,000 litres of milk for processing.

From the field to the table

Turvita sources its milk directly from the farm, keeping production close, transparent and carefully controlled.

Its holistic approach to animal welfare starts in the field and continues all the way to the consumer’s table. Cows have access to pastures, move freely in fields and barns, and are fed with natural and organic feed.

The cows are milked using Lely Astronaut milking robots, supporting efficient dairy management while helping monitor animal health and milk quality.

Renewable energy and lower-impact production

Climate-conscious farming is also reflected in Turvita’s energy choices.

The facility does not use coal for energy production. Instead, modern heat pumps contribute to reducing the ecological footprint of dairy processing. In spring 2026, Turvita is also opening a 0.4 MW biogas plant, strengthening its commitment to renewable energy and climate action.

This approach aligns closely with the goals of OrganicClimateNET, which supports organic farms across Europe in integrating climate farming practices and contributing to a more climate-resilient agricultural sector.

Simple ingredients, organic values

Turvita’s dairy products are based on a simple principle: just milk.

Its whole milk contains 3.9% fat in every bottle and is produced without additives or preservatives. The focus is on safe, natural and tasty organic dairy products, rich in absorbable protein, calcium, natural vitamins and beneficial bacteria that support gut health.

Turvita’s organic production is certified by Ekogwarancja PTRE Sp. z o.o. under certificate number PL-EKO-01-015026.

Glass packaging for a circular mindset

Packaging is another important part of Turvita’s sustainability approach.

The company uses glass packaging, a material that can be reused and recycled indefinitely without losing quality. For Turvita, glass is both an ecological and practical choice: it is transparent, recyclable and aligned with the values of organic production.
