More than one year has passed since the start of OCN. The coordinating Team FiBL (FiBL EU & FIBL CH) is currently immersed in digesting all the invaluable feedback from the second “in-person” consortium meeting, graciously hosted by IDELE, in the vibrant city of Lyon. After more than a year of diligent effort, the team finds itself in an exhilarating recalibration phase, poised to introspect on their learnings and tailor the project to better meet the evolving needs of the network.
“Exchange and learning are the guiding principles for this project.” – Sabine Reinecke, Project Coordinator.
Recalibration Teaming up for based on successes
Many things have happened in the past year. All partners have settled into the project and its goals better, specifying their individual needs. The project partners have worked successfully together, setting up hubs, holding first hub-meetings, and making progress on or even accomplishing first deliverables. There are still many challenges ahead, but they want to look back at the achievements and celebrate the successes, while reflecting on their experience as a baseline for recalibration.

In the photo, Felix, the outgoing coordinator, and Sabine, the incoming coordinator, are seen during one of many handover-sessions at FiBL Switzerland. While Sabine enjoys growing into her new role by organizing and coordinating the interactive sessions and Agenda Setting for the Consortium Meeting, Felix has been actively supporting the WP- and Taskleaders in reporting period 1 before his departure. The change of lead in the coordination team at FiBL CH and FiBL EU offers a window of opportunity for engaging in reflexive learning and recalibration.
Coming together for more than reporting – Consortium Meeting
The coordination team planned the past consortium meeting in the spirit of reflection and recalibration. In interactive sessions, the team focused on extensive interaction between partners, discussing the ways they worked together, reassessing the goals, and forming a shared understanding of the steps ahead in the upcoming years. The plan was to have a truly engaging session, emphasizing a key element of this project: networking.
“The team looks forward to the next two years of bringing the preparation and work to the farmers!”
